My interests include: journalism, photography, film and art. Currently I am looking for reporter positions, communication or digital media internships.

My name is Yareni (Ya-re-nee) Murillo (Moo-ree-yo), which is a Nahuatl name. I was born on the South Side of Chicago to Mexican parents, and lived there until I was 14. I then attended boarding school in Alexandria, Virginia for my four years of High School, and I have studied abroad in India, Spain, Sierra Leon, Belgium and Kenya. These experiences have allowed me to immensely broaden my horizons.
